Dr. Piya’s Personal Journey
Dr. Anil Piya is a dedicated pediatric endocrinologist whose passion for medicine and education has shaped his career. Growing up with a deep curiosity for science and a desire to make a difference in children’s lives, Dr. Piya has always believed in the power of knowledge and compassionate care. As a father and a husband, he understands the importance of family-centered care and strives to create a supportive environment for his patients and their families. Dr. Piya resides in Savannah, Georgia, with his wife, Sruti, and their daughter, Avya.

A Career Built on Excellence
Dr. Piya’s journey in medicine began with a post-graduate residency in pediatrics at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He then pursued specialized training through a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at the prestigious Children’s Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado School of Medicine.

In 2015, Dr. Piya joined Memorial Health University Center in Savannah, Georgia, where he served as the lead pediatric endocrinologist for nearly five years. During this time, he also held the title of Assistant Professor at Mercer University School of Medicine, where he mentored medical students and residents, sharing his expertise and inspiring the next generation of physicians.

A Leader in Pediatric Endocrinology
Dr. Piya is an active member of several renowned medical organizations, including the Pediatric Endocrine Society, the Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Medical Association. He is also a member of the American Association of Physician Leadership and the Human Growth Foundation, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of pediatric endocrinology and improving patient outcomes.
