Externship Opportunities
Children’s Endocrinology and Diabetes offers hands-on externship opportunities for medical students and International Medical Graduates (IMGs) seeking clinical exposure within the United States healthcare system. For individuals interested in pursuing further medical training in the U.S., gaining direct experience in a clinical setting can be valuable in understanding how patient care, clinic workflow, and specialty medicine operate.
Our externship rotations take place at our pediatric endocrinology clinic in Savannah, Georgia, where participants work closely with a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist. During the rotation, participants will gain exposure to the evaluation and management of endocrine disorders in children and adolescents while observing how a specialized outpatient practice functions.
These externships are designed to provide meaningful clinical insight and strengthen a candidate’s preparation for future training opportunities and residency applications.
